Pet and People Photographer serving Minneapolis & St Paul dogs, cats and their people

Your pet is family. They are your constant companion, your confidant. Your relationship is pure and your love is unconditional.

Some might even say you are a “crazy dog mom (or dad),” but there is nothing crazy about the love you share with your pet.

Your relationship with your pet is a beautiful journey – one that is filled with courage, fierceness and moments of connection. The love for your pet can be simultaneously exuberant and brutal, but it is a relationship you cherish.

From the first tentative moments on Gotcha Day to a bittersweet farewell on their last day, moments with your pet are etched in your heart forever.

Your pet’s devotion is steadfast. They understand your needs before you do.  Your bond is so strong you rarely need words to communicate.

It’s a true love story.

Through my lens I document the essence of your dog or cat, and your unique bond.

Tell me, what should we capture from your love story?

Celebrate Your Love Story

Your love for your pet is pure and unconditional. They are the one constant in your life.  Celebrate these beloved pets and their people with authentic outdoor or studio portraits.

I work with artisans to create heirloom artwork customized to your specifications and transform your pet’s portrait into keepsake albums and stunning art for your walls. I take pride in the artwork that we create together, and want you to love it forever. Not convinced? Check out my gallery and I think you’ll find your mind made up.

Work with a fur obsessed expert.

Sure, you could take yet another blurry cell phone snap of your pet doing something cute.

By the time you find your cell and convince your dog to keep doing that cute thing over and over, you’ve missed the opportunity.

Maybe you could ask your mother’s friend’s cousin who is a wedding photographer to take your pet portraits.

While I’m sure they’re skilled at what they do, will they appreciate a good ol’ slobbery kiss or know how to keep your pet safe, engaged, and relaxed? Why take the risk when instead you could hire an expert, like me!

  • Your pet can do this!

Yes, your training school drop out, reactive, anxious dog. I’ve seen it all, and haven’t met a dog yet that I could not photograph. Not one! Really, truly, your dog can totally do this!

And if you have a cat, I was trained by a cat behaviorist to help your cat feel comfortable and relaxed at the studio.

  • Support Local Pet Community

I believe strongly in the power of community. As part of my commitment to supporting Minneapolis and St Paul pet rescues, I donate $50 of most session fees to a pet rescue. In 2023 my partner is Pet Haven.

  • Call me the Pet Whisperer

I am a proud crazy dog and cat mom. I am obsessed with dogs. I get dogs, and I “speak” Canine. I am a master at capturing your dog’s personality.

 Kind words from clients

A gray and white pit bull Pittie dog poses on a log in a river bottom near St Paul Minnesota.

“Easy to work with.”

From the very start Lisa was friendly, patient with questions, accommodating, and easy to work with. The pictures that resulted were spectacular!

She was able to capture the many faces of my 100 pound Pibble even though he actively avoids getting his picture taken. Selecting which pictures to purchase was the hardest part of the entire process.

I highly recommend Pawsh Photography and look forward to doing another shoot in the future!

“Lisa was incredible!”

My dog is a rescue. She put him (and me) at ease and made sure we caught all parts of his personality. Most importantly, she made sure we would have fun while doing all of this.

There are not words to describe how sincere Lisa is with the people and pups she works with and the talent she has in finding the perfect moments to capture.

She made it work and made it easy. Thank you Lisa!
