Emotional Wellness

October is Emotional Wellness Month.

As a dog photographer, I see firsthand the positive emotional effects that dogs have on their humans. And the reverse is also true- humans have a profound effect on their dog. Dogs are highly attuned to their humans and pick up even the slightest change in mood.

As a human who is currently recovered from depression and mostly recovered from anxiety, I know how critical emotional wellbeing is to living life on your own terms. Like most things, emotional health takes intention and daily work. And it is worth the effort.
