Why You Should be in photos with your Dog
If you are anything like me, the preferred location for a photoshoot is behind the camera.
As in, I do not like having my photo taken, by anyone. Ever.
You may not be entirely comfortable in front of the camera. That is OK. I’d rather you be uncomfortable in the moment (and I can offer suggestions to help you feel more comfortable) and have keepsake photographs of you with your beloved furbaby, than let your anxiety win out and have no photographs. When the day comes that you must say goodbye to your dog, I hope you will be grateful you stepped outside your comfort zone and let me photograph you with your dog.
The bond between a dog and their human parent is beautiful to witness. It’s one of the reasons I became a dog photographer. Your dog only wants to please you, and love you in the ways they know how; he certainly doesn’t care what you are wearing or whether your hair is perfectly coiffed. Neither do I; all I see is the bond and the love. And you will too.
Please. Do I have to beg ? Take some photos with your dog! I promise, you’ll be glad you did.
